WW2 German Mauser 1939 Berlin K98 8 x 57 Bolt Action Rifle

A lovely genuine German made Mauser K98, the rifle has recently been rebarreled in house and has fresh proof marks, it was fitted with a period dated barrel which has excellent crisp rifling and good headspace and as such shoots very nicely.

The main reciever is dated 1939 and has a factory code of 243 which is Mauser-Werke AG, Werk Borsigwalde, Berlin-Borsigwalde, Eichborndamm which is denoted on the side of the action with Eagles and inspection marks.

Its not all matching numbers but bear in mind these rifles were made for service and designed to be kept alive as we have kept it going with a replacement barrel. It is however a tidy rifle with nice blueing/blacking and solid laminate stock. Even has its cleaning rod!
